RYBREVANT® + LAZCLUZE® (lazertinib) is a chemo-free option that helps more people live longer than those taking Tagrisso® (osimertinib) alone.
Median overall survival for RYBREVANT® + LAZCLUZE® had not yet been reached at the time of analysis (37.8 months), which means more than half of those people were alive when the data were reviewed.
On the other hand, the median overall survival for Tagrisso® (osimertinib) was 36.7 months, meaning half of the people taking the treatment were no longer alive at 36.7 months.
Half of people taking RYBREVANT® + LAZCLUZE® lived for 23.7 months without their cancer growing or spreading, while half of people taking Tagrisso® (osimertinib) lived 16.6 months without their cancer growing or spreading.
What do these results mean if you've been prescribed RYBREVANT FASPRO™ + LAZCLUZE® instead of RYBREVANT® + LAZCLUZE®?
Whether you get your medicine as a RYBREVANT FASPRO™ injection or RYBREVANT® infusion, both ways are similarly helpful in treating your cancer.
Where did these results come from?
RYBREVANT® + LAZCLUZE® was compared with Tagrisso® (osimertinib) in a clinical trial. A group of 858 people received either RYBREVANT® + LAZCLUZE® or Tagrisso® (osimertinib) as their first treatment for advanced or metastatic EGFR-mutant NSCLC with exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R substitution mutations. The main goal of the clinical trial was to measure how long people were on treatment before their cancer started growing or spreading. A secondary goal of the clinical trial was to measure how long people in the study lived.
*Exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R substitution mutations.
EGFR+, mutated epidermal growth factor receptor; NSCLC, non–small cell lung cancer.
